With a vast content library that caters to toddlers, adolescents and everyone in between, the content discovery process had to be simplified.
The platform required a range of features that included parental controls, no third-party advertisements, no in-app purchases and a single monthly/yearly subscription plan that would allow users to stream HD-quality content on multiple devices.
The Solution
Content delivery is hands down one of the biggest challenges in digital entertainment today. Poor bandwidths, low-end devices and the sheer size of the audience (especially in India) present OTT operators with more than one end-user challenge. When dcafé was building the Hungama Kids platform, we were mindful of the fact that we owe Hungama’s users only the very best of video experiences. Our apps enable parents to track and monitor activities of their children, giving them a sense of security. Kid-friendly design and user-centric functionalities combine fun and learning on a single app.
For their massively diverse content library, we had to ensure content discovery was made simple. With our intuitive design and user-friendly functionalities, we aim to enable Hungama Kids acquire new users even faster and increase cross-screen engagement.
Hungama Kids is India’s only app catering to an audience that’s 0 – 18 years with short format educational content, all managed through the user-centric dcafé backend for web, android and iOS with Smart TV apps launching soon.
